A cooperation agreement has been signed between Hochschule Bremen City University of Applied Sciences (Germany) and East European University (EEU). The agreement was signed by Prof. Dr. Konrad Wolf, President of Hochschule Bremen, and Prof. Dr. Kakhaber Lazarashvili, Rector of East European University.

From May 6 to 8, 2025, a delegation from East European University visited Germany at the invitation of Hochschule Bremen City University of Applied Sciences. During the visit, the EEU delegation held meetings with the President of the University, deans of various faculties, as well as heads of scientific and international departments. The parties agreed to engage in intensive collaboration, including student exchange programs, joint participation in ERASMUS+ initiatives, and the implementation of joint academic and research projects involving research and academic staff.

The EEU delegation was represented by the university’s Rector, Prof. Dr. Kakhaber Lazarashvili; Chairman of the Academic Council, Prof. Dr. David Cherkezishvili; and Head of the International Relations Department, Teona Khachidze.

Significantly, starting from October 2025, EEU students will have the opportunity to pursue their studies at Hochschule Bremen City University of Applied Sciences. Furthermore, both institutions have agreed that Hochschule Bremen will be actively represented at the upcoming international scientific conference hosted by East European University, scheduled to take place from June 24 to 26, 2025.

East European University (EEU) recently hosted a delegation from the University of Coimbra (Portugal).  The delegation was welcomed by the Rector of EEU, Kakhaber Lazarashvili, and the Vice-Rector, Tea Imedadze. Meetings were held with the administration of the University’s Business and Engineering Faculty and the head of the Department of Scientific Research and Development.

The guests toured the new campus, familiarizing themselves with the University’s programs and offerings. During the visit, the parties discussed future educational and scientific projects and the prospects for collaboration, both bilaterally and within the framework of the European Union-funded Erasmus+ program.

The parties agreed on the mobility of EEU students and staff to the University of Coimbra, funded by Erasmus+, starting from the 2025-2026 academic year. This provides an excellent opportunity for East European University students and academic staff to study or conduct scientific research at the University of Coimbra for one semester and to enhance their qualifications in their desired fields.

The University of Coimbra, founded in 1290, is one of the oldest universities in the world and the oldest in Portugal. In 2013, UNESCO declared the university a World Heritage Site. The University of Coimbra comprises 8 faculties and has over 23,000 students.
