The visit of the East European University delegation to India – Plexus Meet 2024

A cooperation agreement has been signed between Hochschule Bremen City University of Applied Sciences (Germany) and East European University (EEU). The agreement was signed by Prof. Dr. Konrad Wolf, President of Hochschule Bremen, and Prof. Dr. Kakhaber Lazarashvili, Rector of East European University.

From May 6 to 8, 2025, a delegation from East European University visited Germany at the invitation of Hochschule Bremen City University of Applied Sciences. During the visit, the EEU delegation held meetings with the President of the University, deans of various faculties, as well as heads of scientific and international departments. The parties agreed to engage in intensive collaboration, including student exchange programs, joint participation in ERASMUS+ initiatives, and the implementation of joint academic and research projects involving research and academic staff.

The EEU delegation was represented by the university’s Rector, Prof. Dr. Kakhaber Lazarashvili; Chairman of the Academic Council, Prof. Dr. David Cherkezishvili; and Head of the International Relations Department, Teona Khachidze.

Significantly, starting from October 2025, EEU students will have the opportunity to pursue their studies at Hochschule Bremen City University of Applied Sciences. Furthermore, both institutions have agreed that Hochschule Bremen will be actively represented at the upcoming international scientific conference hosted by East European University, scheduled to take place from June 24 to 26, 2025.

A delegation from East European University (EEU) visited India from April 26-30. The visit included participation in the Plexus Meet 2024 – The Grand Alumni Meet event, networking, and an international universities exhibition, as well as the strengthening of international cooperation.

On April 27,  the Rector of East European University, Kakhaber Lazarashvili, the General Director, Ivane Cherkezishvili, the Dean of the Faculty of Education Sciences, Ketevan Aftarashvili, and the Head of the Department of Financial and Material Resources Management, Nino Latsoshvili, attended Plexus Meet 2024 held in Jaipur, India, where the EEU Rector, Kakhaber Lazarashvili, delivered a speech. At the end of the event, members of the delegation were presented with a special award for collaboration.

In Jaipur, at the international universities exhibition, representatives of EEU  introduced the university’s educational programs, advantages and offers to the participants of the exhibition. Meetings were held with representatives of various universities of different countries. As a result of the meetings, opportunities for expanding the university’s partnership network and establishing new cooperation were identified, plans for cooperation within the framework of institutional partnership.

At the end of the visit, a memorandum of cooperation was signed between East European University, Savitribai Phule Pune University (SPPU), and Caspian University (Kazakhstan ) and International University of Kyrgyz Republic, Kyrgyzstan. The collaboration aims to strengthen connections and educational projects between the universities, promoting exchange programs in various fields such as business administration and medicine.
