On May 18, within the framework of Open Door Days at East European University (EEU), the concluding session of the Sunday School was held.
The event was opened by the Rector of East European University, Professor Kakhaber Lazarashvili. He introduced school students to modern approaches that exist in today’s educational spaces in terms of youth well-being and personal safety.
The session was also attended by Tamar Tkhelidze, a doctoral student in the Education Sciences Program at EEU, who spoke about the results of a study conducted by EEU’s Scientific Research Center for Physical, Mental, and Social Well-being. The research explored the connection between young people’s mental well-being and their academic performance.
As part of the event, Natia Gegelashvili, a researcher at the Scientific Research Center for Physical, Mental, and Social Well-being, presented videos to the audience that detailed the importance of youth well-being and personal safety.
Challenges related to youth well-being and personal safety were summarized and analyzed from a psychological perspective by Assistant Professor and Psychologist Giorgi Tsiklauri of East European University.
The session concluded with a discussion.
All participants of the Sunday School were awarded certificates.
