Royal Society of Public Health England (RSPHE) Fellowship (2020-Present)

As a Fellow of the Royal Society of Public Health England since 2020, he has been actively engaged in promoting public health initiatives and education in both the UK and internationally. This prestigious fellowship recognizes his contributions to public health education and his expertise in sexual and reproductive health. In this capacity, his responsibilities include:

  • Contributing to evidence-based public health policy development and implementation
  • Participating in specialized working groups focused on sexual and reproductive health education
  • Representing the Society at international forums and conferences to share best practices in public health education
  • Collaborating with other Fellows on research projects that address contemporary public health challenges, particularly in sexual health education
  • Serving as a bridge between UK and Georgian public health initiatives, facilitating knowledge exchange between these regions

Fellow of the Higher Education Academy, UK (2017-Present)

As a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy since 2017, he has been committed to excellence in teaching and learning in higher education. This fellowship recognizes his dedication to pedagogical innovation and effective teaching practices. His responsibilities in this role include:

  • Implementing evidence-based approaches to teaching and learning in my courses at multiple institutions
  • Mentoring colleagues in developing their teaching practice and approaches to student engagement
  • Participating in peer review processes to enhance teaching quality across departments
  • Contributing to the development of educational policies and frameworks that promote student success
  • Designing and implementing innovative curriculum approaches, particularly in health education and relationships and sexuality education (RSE)
  • Advancing the scholarship of teaching and learning through research and publications

 

 

Fellow of Healthy Universities Association, UK (2016)

As a Fellow of the Healthy Universities association in the UK, he has focused on integrating health and well-being principles into university settings. This fellowship has been instrumental in my research on relationships and sexuality education in university contexts. His duties included:

  • Conducting research on relationships and sexuality education within the Healthy Universities framework
  • Developing models for implementing comprehensive health education programs at universities
  • Collaborating with international partners to establish best practices in university health promotion
  • Advocating for holistic approaches to student and staff well-being through institutional policies
  • Facilitating knowledge transfer between UK universities and Georgian higher education institutions regarding health promotion strategies
  • Publishing research findings to contribute to the evidence base for university health promotion initiatives

Through these fellowships, he has maintained a strong commitment to advancing public health, improving higher education practices, and promoting wellbeing across educational institutions. My cross-cultural expertise and international experience have allowed me to serve as an effective bridge between different educational systems and public health approaches, particularly between the UK and Georgia. These fellowships have significantly informed his current work as Rector of East European University and my role as Expert-coordinator of higher education for UNFPA in Eastern Europe and Central Asia.
