"Professor George Lazarashvili is a gregarious and caring academic. We met at an international conference over 10 years ago and his ability to encourage and motivate others was immediately obvious. His charm, insights and vision enabled a relationship to be built between his university and Middlesex university at a time when oversea partnerships were being critically assessed. Since joining his team at the university, I have found that generosity of spirit and hospitality evident in his academic and administrative career. His international endeavours for his university have been very successful and his engagement with the UN and through that the dissemination of his research is exceptional. He is a great partner and committed to his research are and to his university. For me he is a sensitive and outstanding academic leader."
Dr. Paul Gibbs, Emeritus Professor of Middlesex University and East European University, founder of the Centre for Education Research and Scholarship.
"Kakhaber has participated in and/or coordinated a number of international research projects I have been involved in related to health, wellbeing and education in Europe. Thanks to his academic background (professional PHD and HE leadership roles) in health and education and his practical experience in the health domain, he has made valuable contributions to a number of research projects we have worked on together with academics across Europe (notably a Springer edited volume on Inequalities in EU countries during Covid 19 (published in 2023), a Special Issue published in the International Journal of Health, Wellness and Society on Wellbeing in Higher Education (2024) and lead PI for Georgia for a COST bid (ongoing)). He has also demonstrated clear leadership skills in his capacity as Rector of East European University. He has a natural flair for diplomacy and a deep understanding of the needs of both national and international researchers and colleagues. He is dedicated to his work and to colleagues and students alike. I would therefore highly recommend him for any position which requires qualities in research, teaching and leadership."

"I have had the privilege of collaborating with Prof Dr Kakhaber Lazarashvil on several academic and professional training ventures, both at East European University in Tbilisi and Middlesex University in London. Our collaborative partnership has promoted Pre-school Education and Early Childhood philosophy in Higher Education and practice. For instance, Prof Dr Kakhaber Lazarashvil’s leadership was pivotal in developing educational provision and professional training bringing children’s rights and voices at the heart of professional dialogue, practice and training. Working with him, I could appreciate Prof Dr Kakhaber Lazarashvil’s energetic drive towards pedagogical innovation, as well as his leadership in coordinating academics and professionals from a range of disciplines and national contexts, to create opportunities for interdisciplinary and transdisciplinary education. His generosity and diplomacy are traits of Prof Dr Kakhaber Lazarashvil’s professionalism in his role as the East European University Rector which I applaud. For instance, through Prof Dr Kakhaber Lazarashvil’s collegial approach, I had the opportunity to develop networks and relationships with UNICEF and the Georgian Ministry (Pre-school Education and Early Childhood) for the benefit of young children, and those working with and for them, both in Georgia and in England. On a personal note, I would like to thank George for his friendship, hospitality and introduction to Georgian culture and people, facilitating rewarding friendships in addition to professional collaborations."
