Organized by the Faculty of Educational Sciences of the East European University (EEU) and in cooperation with the Center for Special Education Teachers\u2019 Association, a conference-workshop was held on November 18 of this year, within the framework of the World Science Week (UNESCO).<\/p>

The goal of the conference-workshop was to discuss the results of ongoing research on current issues in preschool, general and higher education with the involvement of all interested parties, to exchange ideas and findings, and to conduct productive discussions.<\/p>

The conference-workshop was opened by the Rector of the East European University, Professor Kakhaber Lazarashvili.<\/strong> The participants were welcomed by the Chairman of the Academic Board of the EEU and the moderator of the conference-workshop, Professor Davit Cherkezishvili.<\/strong> The participants were also welcomed by representatives of the Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia: Mariam Chikobava (Deputy Head of the Department of Preschool and General Education Development) and Eka Rurua (Acting Head of the Department of Higher Education Development), Nikoloz Parjanadze, Head of the Higher Education Quality Assurance Service of the National Center for Education Quality Development.<\/p>

The conference-workshop was attended by representatives of higher and general education institutions, research centers and associations, education experts and doctoral students.<\/p>

The workshop was moderated by Prof. Davit Cherkezishvili and was divided into two sessions:<\/p>

Session I \u2013 Preschool and School Education;<\/p>

Session II \u2013 Higher Education;<\/p>

The conference-workshop was held in a panel discussion format and the participants exchanged their positions, ideas and findings; The workshop focused on the challenges and perspectives in the education system.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t
